Personalised Hamper
My sister and I started a business: Gift Hampers For You, almost a year ago. The aim is to help others show gratitude to their loved ones. Recently, we received an order from someone (a name I can't disclose due to privacy) asking for a personalised gift.
This customer was a family friend, and when they came over for dinner, my sister and I told them about our business. They were surprised by the start of our entrepreneurship journey and immediately wanted to support us. A few days after we sent them more information about our business, we received an order for a huge personalised hamper for the doctor looking after their parent's health. As the email was late at night and CC'd with my parents, I learnt about it the next day.

When my mum woke me up, she excitedly told me the news, and I was filled with ecstatic, suddenly wanting to make the hamper even though I had school… The same evening, we started researching the luxury items we could include in this large hamper. The following day, I went shopping with my mum and purchased multiple items, gleaming with joy. When arriving home and put the hamper together, we realised that we could buy a few more products to make the hamper more presentable and valuable. The next day after school, we bought those products, and I began doing the photography of the hamper. Additionally, I made Instagram reels and took videos to post on our social media (click here to like and follow our Instagram page: @_gifthampersforyou). We sent a photo to our customer, and he was astonished by the result.
The customer also provided us with a personalised message to add to the hamper. To suit our brand theme, we looked for a card that matched it. Once looking in a craft shop, I wasn't satisfied, but I could find the perfect card in David Jones. It had flowers that matched the theme and were elegant, with the words "Thank You" written in the middle. On the inside of the card, the personalised message was handwritten. When putting the hamper together, I had to experiment multiple times to ensure the items were all intact and presentable. I tried various ways of arranging the products in the hamper, and when I finally found the perfect way, I felt triumphant and delighted.
To assemble it more elegantly, we used white tissue paper to line the hamper and our business sticker in the middle, ensuring minimal wrinkles. On the outside of the hamper, we created a bow with a rose gold ribbon wrapping around the whole hamper. As we were heading toward the hamper's receiver, we were able to hand deliver it, which also ensured the safety and security of the hamper. We could create and deliver the hamper within five days with our swiftness and enjoyment.
